Small Group Tour from Sorrento to Capri

Thousands of tourists depart each day from Sorrento for a day trip to Capri, especially in the summer months...even more if you take into account the cruise ship passengers who disembark in Sorrento and Naples to head to our beautiful (but tiny!) island of Capri. If you don't plan accordingly, your relaxing day on the island can be nothing but crowds and long lines.

For travelers staying in Sorrento who would like to visit Capri, Italy, I suggest this boat tour of the island with a visit to the centre of Capri town. It's an all day tour, departing from Sorrento and including 3 hours of free time to visit the island's main village.

The itinerary of our Small Group Tour includes:

  • Departure from the port of Sorrento, with a leisurely sail to Capri. During our sail, we'll skirt some of the most breathtaking coastline around the island and make our first stop for a swim near Punta Campanella (optional, not guaranteed).
  • Arrival at Capri, passing under the Faraglioni sea stacks.
  • A stop in Marina Piccola where you can disembark. Here you can decide to relax on the beach, have a meal in a restaurant, or take the bus uphill to the Piazzetta and Capri town centre or even Anacapri.
  • Each passenger has a traditional "caprese" tomato and mozzarella sandwich and a soft drink included in the tour price.
  • In the afternoon, the tour continues around the island, with a stop at the at the Blue Grotto (entrance optional, ticket Euro 14,00 must be purchased separately).
  • Return and drop off at the port of Sorrento in the afternoon.
Duration: about 7 hours Price: from €130/person

Included in the price: boat tour from Sorrento to Capri, "caprese" sandwich and a soft drink.

Not included in the price: entrance to the Blue Grotto, transport from Marina Piccola port to the Piazzetta in Capri town or Anacapri.

Why is my Sorrento to Capri boat tour the best way to enjoy your island day trip to the fullest?

  • Avoid the long queues at the ferry ticket offices and piers.
  • Savor your sail stretched out on the sun deck of your private boat with a cool drink, rather than on the crowded and uncomfortable ferry seats with hundreds of other tourists.
  • Skip the queues on Capri to board for the tour of the island.
  • Skip the queues at the funicular to reach Capri town from the port.
  • Sail around the island in all the comfort of a small group tour by boat, far from the fleets of tour boats crowded with tourists.
  • Stop a few times to take a dip in the crystalline Mediterranean (not an option from the large tour boats departing from Capri!).
  • No worries about missing the last ferry from Capri to Sorrento.
  • More comfortable, less worry, and for the same price as large group tours!

Check the numbers:

  • Round trip ferry ticket between Sorrento and Capri: € 40
  • Group boat tour around Capri: € 20
  • Sandwich, beverages, and fresh fruit bought at a shop: € 20

A day trip on Capri using public transport and a group boat tour costs € 80 per person, while my small group tour costs only just a few euros more per person for a day with no stress and crowds on a small collective tour.

For small groups of 10-12 people, you can book the entire boat and we will create a custom itinerary together. Contact me!
